Great fightback U10 U10 : vs Worcester (A) L 25 - 5  Sun 07-Feb-2010   After so many weeks of adverse weather and cancelled matches, it was great to get back to the rough and tumble of the rugger season. As you might expect Worcester were very strong and with a squad of 40+ had plenty of talent to choose from. This was going to be a tough pair of matches. A good turn out saw our lads take on Worcesters' "Tournament Team" and Bredon were put under pressure right from the start. Our lads were in for a lot of tackling, and they stuck to their task with a fervour, their never say die spirit was tested severly, and after a real struggle the match went to half time with the Hosts' 3 tries to the good. There were many positives to take from the display, the performance of the forwards was particularly notable. Fired up for the 2nd half Bredon upped their performance and began to control a large part of the possession and territory. Some really great attacking work with good close handling and more pressure from the front row eventually gave its just rewards, with a great push over team try scored by at least 3 if not more of the team at once. All of the boys played with real spirit and despite letting in 2 further tries, the team, captained by Ben Phillips can be fully happy with their efforts. Game 2 Bredon 20 - 10 Worcester Bredon carried on from where they left off in the 1st match with a very positive display of controlled power rugby. Playing a mainly 5 man game of rolling maul and strong rucking Bredon took full control . The hard work of the training field paid off as the team were in no mood to quit, so many players should get a mention, the forwards Charlie ,Harry, Ben (2 tries) and half backs, Ollie and Zane, backs Edward, George, Seb, Harry (2 tries) , Jonty, Callum and Harry, this was a fearsome performance, well executed and a true credit to everyone involved.
